Inspiration:

This scarf was created in celebration of the Catskills and White Lake in particular. The Catskills have been an important part of the American culture and particularly the New York vacationers since the mid 20th century. It has been the setting for films and works of art, including many 19th-century Hudson River School paintings, as well as many large resorts and spas. The Catskills have long been a haven for artists, musicians, and writers and Bethel was the site of the legendary Woodstock music festival of 1969 which attracted nearly half a million music and peace fans. According to The Lonely Planet, Catskills was voted as the second best destination to visit in 2019, after Copenhagen.

20% of proceeds from the sale of this piece is dedicated to Bethel Woods Center For The Arts where a decade of cultural revolution and creative explosion in the 1960s culminated at the Woodstock festival. It’s where we learn from the past and make connections for a better future.
